Done for You Prayers

Sometimes, you just need a prayer done for you. And that’s what I’m bringing you this week. I think God knew we would experience fear and all the feelings. He never asked us not to. Our emotions are like traffic signs that give us clues on how to proceed. For me, fear is an invitation to stop, ask questions, and pray.

This week, let's accept the invitation. Fear allows us to respond with prayer. I've created two fill-in-the-blank prayers for you.

Mad Libs for your heart. You can copy, paste, and insert your needs into them.

Pick one or both! Let your heart, mind, and spirit rest in the knowledge that God hears. Let fear be your sign to talk to God.

Prayer 1

Holy Spirit, would you meet me in my fear and pour out your peace over my heart and mind? (Person) has been on my mind and I want to see you (how you'd like the Lord to work) in their life. Would you fill my mind with thoughts of your goodness and grace? Lord, help me hand over my fear of (situation). Could you help me keep my hope centered on you? Thank you. I can work through my fear and trust in you all at the same time. You are good and love me and (person) more than I could imagine.

Prayer 2

Lord, I am afraid of (failure, inadequacy, rejection). Would you allow me to see (situation, circumstance) through your eyes? Lord would you hold my fear as I choose to trust in your unfailing love and goodness towards me? Thank you for seeing my circumstances and for ever working in me and for me. Thank you that this fear of (_____) leads me to prayer and your presence.

You can hold your fear in one hand and faith in the other.

I will trust in your unfailing love. Psalm 13:5
