Part 1: What Coaching Is & Isn’t

This month, let's dig a little deeper into the feeling seen in possibly an unseen season. I talked on socials about how it is okay to like things. A part of looking at things we like is it sets us in a place to be soft and less resigned. It brings us back to ourselves so we can remember who we are and how God created us.

You can download the What I Love checklist and make your own.

I wanted to provide you with some detail about what coaching is and isn’t. This will give you a bigger picture of how coaching works and how it can be helpful.

Here are 10 Characteristics of Coaching:

-A place to rediscover your strengths

-A safe space to process fear

-Designed to help cast a vision for moving forward

-A place to discover how your story is your strength

-Strategic empowerment and encouragement

-Remembering who we are and how God created us

-A place to discover who we love and what we care about

-Coaching provides direction

-Coaching is where reflection and equipping happen

-Coaching provides you the opportunity to create goals and action steps

How is Counseling different than Coaching?

I'm a big fan of both. Both are beneficial in different ways! Some seasons may call for one or the other or both.  This graphic breaks down some of the differences. Knowing which service would be most helpful for your current needs and goals is wise. If you need a counselor,  I know great counselors in the area and am happy to make recommendations.
